MANY PEOPLE TODAY EQUATE “SPIRITUALITY” with one’s personal inner life. Spiritual seekers are advised to “listen to their heart” to find peace and clarity, often without any reference to God – or at least to the God revealed in the Scriptures – or to a community such as the Church. Their approach is more individual […]

OUR NATURE HAS BEEN TRANSFORMED in Christ… our nature is being transformed in Christ… our nature will be transformed n Christ. At first glance this may seem like a grammar exercise about verbs. In fact it is a summary of theology: exploring the magnitude of the mystery which is Christ is us. CHRIST’S COMING HAS […]

What do students do?

  • Go to the website: iwitness.edmontoneparchy.com
  • Click on their grade link. (for example, if the students are in grade 4, they would click on the link “Grade 3-6” on the homepage)
  • Watch the first video, explaining iWitness
  • Then watch the next video, explaining the current contest, iRespect
  • Scroll down and look at some examples that other students have done for iRespect. These are the types of projects that students can submit.
  • If you look to the right bar of the same page, you will see “Recent Posts” where students can look for ideas and to learn more about respect for the body.
  • Scroll further down on the grade page to the “Submit” button. This is where students can submit their projects, either written, pictures, or videos. There is also a consent form for their parents. The submission process can either be done completely online, or students can print off the consent form from the “Resources” page and clicking on: “Download a printable copy of the Parental Consent Form (PDF)”. They can then mail in their projects or hand them in in person at the Chancery Office at:

iWitness

Eparchy of Edmonton Chancery Office

9645 -108 Avenue
Edmonton, Alberta

  • Students’ projects will be posted on the iWitness website on their grade page.
  • When the voting period starts, all people—including family, friends, and strangers—can go online and vote for their favourite projects in each grade grouping.
  • Winners will be announced when the contest is over, and students and schools will be awarded their prizes.
